Approaching Zero

"A second is the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium atom".

Approaching Zero is a one to one interactive live art experience created by performance graduate Kay Channon. The piece explores ideas surrounding infinity, space, time, and memory. Participants witness a seeming endless process of unique repetition and are given the opportunity to contribute to its development.

This project is currently under development with the support of performance and installation artist Sheila Ghelani (http://www.sheilaghelani.co.uk/) and the University of Chichester in West Sussex.

A work in progress showing of Approaching Zero will be performed as part of Unfinished Business at the University of Chichester on 21st February 14:30 - 16:00 & 22nd February 12:30 - 16:30
